Owensboro Community and Technical College offers two-year Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degrees. You can use these two-year degrees to open up new career options or to complete the first half of a bachelor’s degree.

Associate Degrees
Associate in Arts (A.A.) -This degree is awarded to majors in Liberal Arts disciplines including English, Education, History, Law, and Psychology.
Associate in Science (A.S.) -This degree is awarded to majors in science-related disciplines such as Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Medicine.
Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) -The degree is awarded to students who complete the general education component and technical and support components of study for specific disciplines or professions.
Diplomas and Certificates
Save time and receive targeted career training through our shorter diploma and certificate programs. Or simply enhance your quality of life and future job prospects through any of our continuing adult education and basic skills courses. A diploma is designed to prepare students for employment in a specific technical field in three to four semesters. A certificate can be earned in as little as one semester and is primarily offered in technical programs.
