The Teaching and Learning Center’s Proctored Exam Services

The TLC administers proctored exams Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and on Wednesday evenings until 7:00 p.m. 

1. Students’ responsibilities for scheduling proctored exams are as follows:
   • Students are to schedule exam appointments as soon as the test schedule is known early in the semester and no later than one week before the requested testing date. To schedule, call (270) 686-4532 or e-mail judy.coomes@kctcs.edu. 
   • When contacting the proctor for an exam appointment, students must provide the following: 
     • Student’s name 
     • Instructor’s name 
     • Instructor’s college 
     • Course title 
     • Type of test (midterm, final, etc.) 
   • Students should verify with the instructor that all testing information has been submitted to the testing website. 
2. Inform Teaching and Learning Center in advance of any changes that might affect the scheduled testing date and time. 
3. Verify with instructor all testing requirements such as use of resources, including textbooks, calculators, software, or passwords to access software. 
4. Upon arriving at the TLC, present picture ID (such as a student ID or current driver’s license); otherwise, permission to test will be denied. 
5. Students must provide pencils, paper, and anything necessary to complete the exam, in compliance with the instructor’s guidelines. 
6. Adhere to KCTCS Assessment Centers’ rules and procedures. For example, children and cell phones are not allowed in testing area
