The Owensboro COmmunity & Technical College Art Department offers courses in Art History, Introduction to Art, and Art Studio. Lecture courses are taught in the Humanities Building on the main campus. Art Studio courses are taught at the downtown campus. The studio courses offered include: Drawing, 2D Design, Painting, 3D Design, Sculpture, and Ceramics.
Students majoring in art are eligible to receive the “Emphasis in Visual Art Certificate”, along with their Associates Degree. Student and visiting artist exhibitions are held monthly at the Dayman Gallery on the upper level of the Learning Resource Center. The Art Department sponsors the OCTC Art Club, an active student group that supports the arts on campus and in the community.
