There are a variety of music courses offered at OCTC for those interested in pursuing a music career, for those needing to fulfill the Humanities requirement for a degree, and for those with an interest in music. Courses include face-to-face classes, online classes, performance ensembles, and private instruction. Courses that help fulfill the humanities requirement include Mus 100 Introduction to Music, Mus 206 American Music, and Mus 222 The History and Sociology of Rock Music. Mus 206 Music Theory for Non-Majors is offered periodically. Performance classes include a choral ensemble and a jazz ensemble. Private instruction is offered in piano, voice, guitar, and trombone.
