A collaborative program between high schools, area technology centers, career and technical centers and Owensboro Community & Technical College, Discover College provides high school students the opportunity to start earning college credit often at a reduced cost. Many courses count for both college and high school credit, so experience college while still in high school through Discover College.
Two pathways provide students the opportunity to earn credit, Dual Enrollment and Concurrent Enrollment. Dual Enrollment courses allow students to leave their high school campus and come to OCTC to earn college credit. Concurrent Enrollment courses allow students to remain in their high school classrooms and earn college credit from a qualified teacher that aligns curriculum with OCTC’s requirements.
