Radiography

The Radiography Program will prepare you to become a radiographer. As a radiographer, you'll be prepared to administer ionizing radiation for medical diagnostic imaging purposes (x-rays). Emphasis is on radiation protection and quality patient care. The curriculum is comprised of special courses in radiography, along with concentrated study in the basic sciences, mathematics, and general education. The Radiography Program utilizes a selective admission process.

To maintain enrollment in the Radiography program, you must achieve a minimum grade of “C” in each Radiography course. Upon successful completion of the program, you'll receive an Associate in Applied Science degree from Owensboro Community and Technical College and will be eligible to take the exam required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) to become a registered radiologic technologist [R.T. (R)].
