Students may satisfy the computer literacy requirement by taking a computer literacy class (either CIS 100 or IT 100, depending upon your major) or by passing all three parts of computer literacy exam based on the IC3 competencies.  In order to receive three hours of credit for CIS100, the student must also pass an additional database exam.

Students may take a free online self-assessment to help them decide whether to take the exam.

To take the exams, vouchers must first be purchased from our Barnes and Noble Bookstore for $88.30. These vouchers cannot be returned. The exams are given on Friday afternoons in the Teaching and Learning Center.  Please call 686-4535 to schedule an appointment. On the day of the exam, the student must bring the voucher packet and a photo ID to the Teaching and Learning Center. At the conclusion of the exams, the student will take the exam results to Student Records for transcript purposes.
