Subject: QEP Development Teams

All,

At last month’s College Assembly meeting, we approved the attached QEP outline as our guide for moving forward with its development. Now we are organizing “QEP Development Teams” to begin the work. Initially, there will be seven teams:

    1. Student Learning Communities Team
    2. Expectations Team (made up of the team leaders of teams three through six)
    3. Written Work Team
    4. Oral Work Team
    5. Performance/Production Work Team
    6. Research/Information Literacy Team
    7. Standards of Professional Conduct Team (standards for personal/ethical/interpersonal/intellectual/safe conduct)
Each team will have 12 participants: 1 team leader, 3-4 team members, and 7-8 reviewers. Ideally, each team will have at least one representative from each unit/division. The time required will be approximately 1-2 hours for reviewers, one day for team members, and 1-2 days for team leaders. We are planning to provide compensation for those participants not on a 12 month work schedule since most of the work will be done in May and June (~$250 for team leaders, ~$150 for team members, ~$20 for reviewers).

If you are interested in participating, please reply to this message. We hope you’ll join in this transformative effort to better provide “Connection & Direction” for our students!
