| GRADING |
There will be five
hundred points available in this course. The course
format will be independent study, lecture, home work activities, tests, &
writing assignments.

| MISSED/LATE ASSIGNMENTS: |
Four quizzes will be
given during the Fall semester. All of the quizzes must be taken. The student can make up only one quiz during the semester, during final exam week PLEASE NOTE. Late assignments will lose 10% of the assigned grade. After seven days, a second 10% of the assigned grade will be lost. For example, an assigned grade of 81 or B will lose 8 points, if late, for a grade of 73 or C. If the assignment is a week late it will receive a final assignment grade of 65 or D on an assignment of B quality. |

| PARTICIPATION: |
Class attendance and participation is a very important part of the
educational process. You will be expected to contribute to class on a regular basis and in a meaningful way. Participation on the part of the student involves their active contribution to class discussion, projects ,and any activities connected to the course. Any student who is absent from class must obtain any missed lecture notes and/or assignments from their classmates. The absent student can not make up in class project and/or activities |

| EXAMS | Four quizzes will be given during the semester. Quizzes will consist of multiple choice, short answer essay, drawing of graphs/curves as well as possible word - definition matching.. The quiz dates are carried in the syllabus. Each quiz will have a minimum of one alternative exam date. Only one make up quiz will be given during final exam week. | ||
| MISSED OR LATE ASSIGNMENTS |
There will be three major work papers during the semester. Details about the
assignments will be provided in class. The due dates of the work papers are
listed in the syllabus. The major work papers are part of the educational
process. Any major work paper submitted after the due date will be reduced
by 10% of the assigned grade. No major work paper will be accepted more than one week and one day late. PLEASE NOTE. Late work paper will lose 10% of the assigned grade. After seven days (the 8th day) a second 10% of the assigned grade will be lost. For example, an assigned grade of 81 or B will lose 8 points, if late, for a grade of 73 or C. NOTE. Any major work paper that includes writing must be typed in modified
APA style before it will be grades. In addition, the student must keep a
student copy of each turning paper and keep graded assignments until registrar issues semester to avoid mistakes. |

Services. Students requesting special assistance and/or accommodation due to
disability should see the course instructor prior to the second week of
classes so that necessary

| SYLLABUS AND/OR COURSE CHANGES |
The due dates and the course schedule are provided to give the course
structure. Because unforeseen factors can affect the course, the instructor
reserves the right to make an changes on the due dates, course scheduling and any requirements. If changes need to be made, than the instructor will notify the student in class accordingly. |

| CLASS ATTENDANCE & ASSIGNMENTS |
Business classes are a cooperative learning experience. Attendance in class
or viewing distance learning broadcast are important in the learning
process.
Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the class period. If you are
late or
absent from class, it is your responsibility to obtain any missed lecture
notes or assignments from your classmate. |
