Below is an alphabetical list of Internet sites with a mathematics or education connection. Most have not been reviewed completely. *   Creating Your First Internet Project - - If you're like many teachers, you want to create your own Internet projects, but you don't know where or how to begin. So start here, where you'll find a non-threatening look at the process from a classroom teacher's perspective. Included are four different levels of Internet projects, complete with useful tips and tricks.

*   History of Mathematics - Based at St. Andrews University in Scotland, this site contains biographies of more than 1,000 mathematicians. See portraits of your favorite mathematicians.

*   The MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive - An archive of mathematics history materials, especially early problems, such as squaring the circle.

*   The Mathematics Archives - This Web site, based at the University of Tennessee, serves as a source to begin an exploration of mathematics on the Internet.

*   The Math Forum - Contains Student Center, Teacher's Place, Research Division, and Parents and Citizens.

*   Mathematics Information Servers - Links to a wide variety of math-related web sites.

*   Mathland, Journey Through Mathematics- A collection of different mathematics resources from "down under."

*   MathPro Online - A database of mathematical problems found in contests and articles.

*   MathStories.com - Word problems designed for grades 1 – 5

*   Mega Mathematics - from Los Alamos National Laboratories

*   NASA AMATYC Project Coalition - A resource book of class-ready learning modules (LTAs and Spinoffs) for the professor seeking exciting, authentic applications of two-year college mathematics for use in your classes. Although the modules are class-ready, you should feel free to modify them or to use parts of them in response to the inevitable time constraints of covering syllabus topics within an allotted time.
