Math Problem Solving For Elementary Teachers

Description:
Development of mathematical problem-solving skills. Students will solve problems from such areas as algebra, geometry, probability, number theory and logic.
Topics include:
- algebra
- geometry
- probability
- number theory
- logic
Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours)
Pre-requisites: completion of MA 201 Mathematics for Elementary Teachers with a 'C" or above
MA 150 College Algebra is required for MA 201
recommended a course in logic (i.e. PHI 120 Introductory Logic)
or Calculus (i.e. MA 123 Elementary Calculus & Its Application
