Owensboro
Sister Cities / Regions has been asked to assist in providing
the opportunity for email in the English language to be
exchanged between secondary students in our region with students
of Hejčín Gymnazium (high school) in Owensboro's Sister City of
Olomouc, Czech Republic.

While the primary target group requested is 14 - 15 years of
age, the program is open to all regional high school students.
Your Czech counterparts are eager to establish email
communication.
All Hejčín English Section students take all their courses
(history, science, etc.) in the English language. Hejčín
students are anxious to practice their English and to learn
about their American Sister City, the Owensboro region's student
life, activities, likes and dislikes, etc.
Owensboro Sister Cities / Regions, working with Hejčín, will
assist in matching up the students. We are asking for interested
students to volunteer to participate in this exchange. The Czech
and American students will be able to find email pals through us
but then will carry on their own email pal relationship with
each other directly. The Czech teachers are planning to provide
some academic credit for their participating students. We would
encourage consideration of the same for our students by their
teachers, as well.
To participate in the E-Mail Pal Program, click on the link
below and complete the online questionnaire; send it to us by clicking the "SUBMIT" button at the
bottom of the page. This
questionnaire will be forwarded to the participating English
language teachers at Hejčín.
