SAMPLE MATH TEST 

The COMPASS math section includes numerical skills/pre-algebra, algebra, intermediate algebra, and college algebra.  Since the test is adaptive, testers are routed back and forth to harder or easier questions until the program can determine their skill level.

Sample NUMERICAL SKILLS / PRE-ALGEBRA questions

Question 1:  The following question involves averages - means, medians, modes.
What is the average (arithmetic mean) of 8, 7, 7, 5, 3, 2, and 2?
